MTG Zendikar Pre-Release

Postby Dwarve » Thu Sep 24, 2009 4:29 pm

(First off, I just joined so Hi)

I'm gonna be at the event in Etowah at Intergalactic. Just wondering if anyone else on here is planning on attending? Apparently it is looking like it is going to be one of their largest events yet (if not the largest).

Yeah, the prereleases are fairly large events. It should be pretty cool, and they usually draw in players you don't see on a weekly basis, so you may want to bring in all your trade stuff.

I don't play Magic much anymore, but have fun! :D

Yeah, I've been playing MTG on and off since '98 or so but never made the trip to Dicehead for a tourny but since my little town has IG now, I figured I would check it out. I think they are expecting 18+ players which is pretty surprising for little Etowah lol.

Pre-Release was a fun thing. They had 19 people for the Sealed deck and then 17 people for a draft that followed (even though 4 of them just drafted then dropped)

I placed 7th in the Sealed so 2 packs for prize isn't bad at all. Almost won some packs in the draft as I went 2-0 but lost the 3rd round and only prizes for 1st and 2nd in the draft so I was 1 win away from that. Oh well. Good times.
