Also, I picked up a Great Lakes Swimmers and Burlap to Cashmere CD with my massive amounts of McKay's credit.
Great Lakes Swimmers = good background music for working at your computer, not so much for driving. It's soft folk acoustic.
Anybody Out There? from Burlap to Cashmere had to grow on me after a couple of listens. Sound is close to country, but not quite. Some world music influences, especially in terms of guitar style. If you don't like Christian rock, there's a couple of songs that you will probably hate.
I can't find it on Youtube and I'm not sure the sample on Amazon MP3 is really enough, but Chad, you need to listen to Scenes off of that record. I'm not even sure what the song's supposed to be about, but I'm pretty sure you would like it.
"The moment good taste knows itself, some of its goodness is lost. Even then, however, it is not necessary to take the further step downward of despising the 'philistines' who do not share it."
Humor. Analysis.
Madness.
