Zune software is kinda cool, if you want to post a list of what you listen to on the interwebs for all to see.

So, what you're saying is that it's perfect for show-off douchebags?

Nickelcrap (mp3 download at the bottom of the article). I think you can guess what they're parodying.

From the "holy @#$ this actually exists?" department:

Sixpence None the Richer's "Kiss Me" in (mostly) Japanese: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euj_oMyDpLE

I picked up their "Best Of" CD when I was at McKay's today, and it had this song on there.

Just thought it was cool that an American band did something like this. I don't think it means that anyone involved in making this record is an otaku, but it's sort of along the lines of Lisa Ray doing English songs in Japanese.

I heard something interesting on NPR. It was a very long funk song. The first five minutes were instrumental. The second five minutes had words. The final bit was a funk version of Everybody Must Get Stoned, before it faded out with the same instrumental as it began with. It was awesome.

I think I'm required by law to inform you that the song title isn't "Everybody Must Get Stoned," it's "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35"

On 94.3's Pay for Play weekend, I got them to play:
The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets - Operation Get the Hell Out of Here
Jonathan Coulton - Still Alive
Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives - Head Like a Hole

Non-geeks apparently cannot comprehend "Still Alive."

I am sorry you feel that way. But you see that my hands were tied. As it has been certified that I have COMPLETE WORLD KNOWLEDGE, I was required by law to correct you.

I am only sad that I was not the first to provide you with such help.

I saw this mentioned in a blog comments thread today: Sailor Moon Christmas Album.

And when I say "mentioned," I mean "they use this as a defense against co-workers who play Christmas music non-stop from Thanksgiving to Christmas."

Sadly, it's in OGG format, which means I have to figure out the best way to play it.

Used Media Player Classic to play the OGG files. (Found it linked here.)

The Sailor Moon Christmas album is pretty bizarre. It demands at least one listen.
